A Message from our Director General

As another school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank our entire Summit community.

This has been a year of growth. Our students have worked hard, our staff have gone above and beyond, and our families have stood beside us every step of the way. When I walk through our halls, I see potential everywhere I look. Awakening that potential is the work we return to each morning, and it is the work I am most proud of.

This past year also marked the first full year with Dr. Mitch Shiller as president of our board. With the board's steady support, Summit has continued to move forward, invest in our programs, and strengthen everything we offer our students.

We never stand still. As an Apple Distinguished School, we continue to bring the best of technology into our classrooms. We expand and improve our programs every year, and we always strive to go beyond the curriculum, because our students deserve an education that prepares them for life.

I am especially excited about what lies ahead. In Spring 2027, our SCERT conference will return, reimagined and expanded. What began as a research conference is becoming something far greater: a gathering built on three pillars of Education, Innovation, and Employment, bringing together top researchers and business leaders from across the field. Our goal is ambitious and simple at once, to make this the defining conference for neurodivergence in North America.

Going forward, Summit will keep pushing boundaries and redefining what it means to educate and nurture neurodivergent students, always approaching this work in a responsible and innovative way.

To our graduates, congratulations. Whether you are continuing with us or stepping into the next chapter of your life, you carry the whole Summit community with you.

To our staff and our families, thank you. None of this happens without you.

I wish you all a restful and happy summer. I look forward to welcoming you back in the fall.

With gratitude,

Herman ErdogmusDirector General
