Caring for our students means understanding all their challenges.
The TLC Specialist
Our school nurse is there to help students, teachers and parents feel comfortable and supported. Many of our youth require medication, and have unique health concern. The school nurse is there to ensure the proper implementation of medical protocols.
But also, they are there as a caring listener, a shoulder to lean on and a calming, compassionate voice.
The school nurse also runs workshops and training sessions (CRP, epipen protocols, etc.). She makes sure the staff are knowledgeable about their students' conditions and understand how to react if an issue arises.
Our school nurse is there everyday, five days a week!
