Classroom Teacher

We are currently looking for motivated creative individuals to join our inter-disciplinary team as a Classroom Teacher.
Responsibilities
-
Provides instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP.
-
Carries out engaging and creative lesson plans based on Quebec Education programs.

Integrates Universal Design Instruction principals and creates a positive learning experience to meet the needs of various learners within the classroom setting
-
Schedules meetings and works cooperatively with team members and others in developing instructional goals and strategies.
-
Ability to integrate various technological tools within the classroom (whiteboards and ipads).
-
Serves as primary contact for the parent.

Create and distribute IEPS, and progress reports
-
Conducts assessments to establish students’ levels and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.

Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of educational assistants as directed.
Education Requirements

B.Ed from a recognized university and a Quebec Teaching brevet

Physical Education Teacher

We are currently looking for motivated creative individuals to join our inter-disciplinary team as a Gym Teacher.
Responsibilities
-
Develop Physical Education (PE) programming to address the goals and objectives of the students’ IEPs (classroom-based in the PE setting, but reflecting the characteristics and needs of individual students).

Implement programming with creative lesson plans, with adaptations for various functioning levels and abilities of students within each class.
-
Evaluate the students throughout the year, based on the Ministry of Education guidelines (adapted by Summit School).
-
Ability to work cooperatively within a team framework, in order to develop the educational goals and behavioral strategies of individual students.
-
Knowledge and ability to integrate technology within the PE setting.
-
Organize and coordinate various ‘special activities’ days throughout the year, including on-campus and off-campus settings.

Maintain and organize equipment within the PE setting.
Education Requirements

Teacher Assistant

Teaching Assistant
We are actively recruiting for a teaching assistant. We are looking for a patient, attentive person to care for children ages 5 to 12. Someone who is thorough and caring with an eye for detail and not scared to take initiative.

Applicants with preschool experience will be given priority. Positions within our school from March 2021 to June 30, 2021.
